In this video I'm taking you to a tour of Udayagiri Caves located in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh. It is 60 kms from Bhopal & 11 kms from iconic Sanchi Stupa.
Udayagiri caves consists of 20 rock cut which were built around 5th century AD during Gupta period by Chandragupta || . Out of these 19 are Hindu Temples and 1 Jain temple. Most iconic caves among these is Cave 5 or Varaha Cave where Lord Vishnu is depicted in his Varaha Avatar.
This video will focus on some of the most important caves and there historical facts.
