Wednesday started off with Turbo the Blue Heeler placing his ball between Aunty Sam’s knees ready for the very first throw! I like your enthusiasm for farm trips Turbo ... let’s do this!

Kona the Labrador started his farm trip off with a good roll in the sand, emerging as a crumbled sausage. It’s his thing ... a sign of a very good day at the farm!

Sid caught the squeaky squirrel today, he was very pleased with himself and he sure wasn’t going to be quick about giving that pesky thing up either!

Frankie the Westie was giving us solid Westitude all day. Telling us when it was big ball time, telling us when it was lure time ... just simply telling us all what needs to be done and by what time. Seriously what would we do without you Frankie?

Zac the Staffy donned his super cape and that was the signal for everyone to erupt with excitement for the big game of the day! Big ball in the dam! It’s by far the crowd pleaser ... everyone has there roles in the team in their quest to get that big ball cornered!

Luna did an incredible epic running flying leap off the dock nailing the big ball, worth watching the video just for this.

Dock dive training in the big pool brought out all the big guns. Kona and Luna were on fire. Bandit is usually in the frontline for dock diving, but today he was busy putting away the pool creepy crawly that had clearly been left out by staff. Pfft pfft. What would we do without you too Bandit!

For those that have been following Zac the Staffy’s swimming journey, we hit another epic milestone today.

A quick recap ... Zac couldn’t swim when he first came to the farm but he showed a lot of interest in wanting to swim with his pack after the big ball. So after several months of private swimming lessons, Zac now is a boss at swimming after the big ball.

Even though there’s no hesitation at big ball time, he’s struggled with swimming without the big ball as an incentive. To be honest we thought he’d reached his goals and we were fine to let that be his jam and pool time simply not be his thing. All the dogs have their favourite things, and we respect that.

Well today out of nowhere Zac decided to push himself again, all on his own, to reach yet another milestone and show us all that the sky’s really the limit for a dog with determination.

Zac has officially graduated to fish status, joining the likes of pals Zara, Kona and Luna. He has in one afternoon smashed the Staffy ‘not-so-much-a-swimmer’ stereotype literally out of the water.

Luke is proud as punch. Zac what’s next buddy????
