If you went through the rhythms of the first two volumes of the course, then you are probably already way ahead and comfortable on your instrument. But in this next volume we’re gonna speed up the tempo and then you’ll see that for most of the rhythm patterns we change the handsetting and we step out of the right-left-right-left-right-left pattern.
Here we take the second "FUNKY rhythm #2" in the coursebook, but you’re gonna skip all the “ti” strokes and make them “ghost”-notes. Now change the handsetting and then you can play the rhythm much faster. But don’t loose the groove when speeding up, don’t let the rhythm drag and be sure to take care of the double strokes, which in most cases are played with the leading hand.
