This robotic assembly was one of my earlier works with Fusion 360. The aim of this project was to create and pitch a robotic assembly capable of performing a certain task on a foreign planet. The project involved researching what kind of materials, drivetrain, and attachments each assembly would need to be able to survive the harsh conditions of outer space. I settled on designing a robot capable of mining and collecting ice on Enceladus, one of the moons of Saturn.

I find this project notable as it serves as an important milestone in my CAD career. It was one of the first robotic assemblies I designed, and the project taught me how to properly conduct research before beginning to ideate and iterate concepts. Regarding complexity, I believe that the drivetrain was the highlight of the project, implementing tools such as pattern on a path, revolve, and sweep.

I have honed my skills and learned a lot since finishing this project. I learned the importance of taking time to zoom out and look at your project in full detail (Something I did not do at the time, as evidenced by the humongous drill at the front). In conclusion, I hold this project dear, as it was my first big breakaway into the world of CAD.
