Hey all you Savvy Naturalista's welcome to another episode of DIY Saturday! Today we are making an all natural Pink Himalayan body scrub DIY. This homemade DIY is full of all natural ingredients that are easy to find. I really enjoy making body scrubs all year round but summer is body scrub season here for me in the desert because it's so dry and wearing heavy based moisturizers in the desert is the worst in my opinion. Imagine a very hot climate but dry weather soaking the moisture out of your body. When you go to put on a thick cream imagine the cream literally sweating off you into a sticky layer of gunk on your skin.. That sums up what it's like putting thick body creams on in the summer. So this is why I try to keep my creams light, so my clothes won't stick to me later. The wonders of living in the desert is all the dry arid weather.
That is why I am using body scrubs in the shower almost every day until we get to monsoon season. Homemade body scrubs are easy to make and very cost effective. They also make wonderful gifts for friends and family. I enjoy making body scrubs that nourish the skin, and really hope I inspire you with all my DIY's to get into natural skincare. Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub Recipe:
1 ¼ cup Pink Himalayan Salt
½ cup coconut oil
10-20 drops Miracle glow oil
1 tbsp. Kaolin Clay(optional)
