ONE IN A MILLION mare who is ready to hit the trails and beyond. She’s been born and raised around chaos and craziness and has had more exposure than most older horses.DID YOU KNOW: The Rocky Mountain horse is a very rare breed and is currently recovering from the Livestock conservatory Threatened list.R2 Estranged or more affectionately known as “Freya” is a gem to be around and extremely broke & gentle for the whole family! Imagine a perfect kids breakaway or gymkhana prospect! Registered/Certified Rocky Mountain Horse Association Mare: R2 Estranged aka “Freya”Foal date: 5/20/2020.Color: SorrelHeight: 14.2HHRMHA # 2024488838Freya is a STUNNING, GENTLE, SWEETHEART kind of horse that is guaranteed to turn heads while she gaits in her most showy, comfortable little step. It’s no surprise though, she was born of multiple international grand champions on both sides! Her siblings are gentle trail horses speckled thought the United States. She is from a long line of foundation stock within the Rocky breed, known to be the ultimate “all around horse”. This breed is coveted for their rarity, gentleness, smooth easy gaits and beauty. Owning Freya would ensure a place for this wonderful breed in the future. You can also consider having a premium foal or two if you like, they are a pleasure to own and raise, ask any rocky owner. They are truly versatile, as we say: ONE HORSE FOR ALL OCCASIONS. This horse has greatness in her eyes!Freya is a sorrel and this may not be what you typically see when researching a Rocky (this is a standard color that is 100% possible in the Rockies), however, she carries a silver dapple gene-She can produce chocolate foals! It is our professional experience that with one silver gene Freya will continue to have issue-free eyes throughout her lifetime (you may hear about this-but we assure you this horse is problem free genetically). Freya is the calmest, most level-headed family type horse you’re able to find. She seems to have been graced with one of the easiest personalities to tote adults on trail and kids while playing games (i.e. egg and spoon, red light green light, gymkhana).Freya is young yet but she has a personality of a tenured horse! I believe she would be best suited for an average horseman due to her age but she will soon gain just about any style riders trust. Freya is so gentle and kind, & absolutely no vices. For the rider looking to “level up” and ride with all your aids or to start to show in upper level events, Freya has all the training "buttons" to allow the advanced rider the potential to do ANYTHING in your performance horse dreams! Sidepass, turn on the fore, turn on the hind, leg yield, nice back, shoulder in etc. She has a nice soft mouth that is suggested for those who can adapt to soft hands. She gives very nicely to the bridle. This is the horse that everyone is searching for. Freya first and foremost is a trail horse extraordinaire with an ultra-smooth gait ANYONE CAN FIGURE OUT. She is a natural at her god given gaits! Folks may say “naturally gaited” about their horses and they really are not. Freya on the other hand will gait and gait and gait, no matter what it’s SMOOTH.Freya is a DUAL PURPOSE type horse not everyone can find… when asked she can cover some ground if you like to ride with gaited horses OR walk as SLOW as you wish with AQHAs. Typically, she is most comfortable at a medium gait, low-headed and not too fast. Ride bareback, english, western, trail obstacle, jumps, drives, ride double, the foundation to sort cows, heel or head and drag all the calves you need, side pass to gates, she will work so many jobs for you! When out on trails, she’s happy to be in the front, middle, or back. When she meets an object she is unsure of- she mostly stops and looks- possibly just a little jump but thats it- NO bolting, running away or other shenanigans. She calms down with any excitement with a just a few aids from her rider- just a little circle or disengage and she is right back to work- does not maintain excited behavior.
She trailers beautifully (walking in the trailer and backing out), stands to mount quietly, and is perfect for the farrier, clipping, bathing, saddling, and bridling. This horse is as close to bomb-proof as they get – perfect for the entire family to enjoy. Not spooky – exposed to multi-use trail systems, wildlife, bicycles, joggers, cows, goats, sheep, dogs, and donkeys. Freya rides best with an average active rider… she will goat up the steepest slopes, across water and bridges, over downed trees, and through the roughest terrain. Traffic sane and safe. NO vices, ties, clips, and bathes, goes through all obstacles like a champ. Great with all types of horses turned out in the pasture.
