Reaction sensors, also referred to as static, measure torque without rotating. Often used in rotating applications if angular sweep is within reason and cable management possible. Cablessupply excitation voltage to the strain gage bridge for output and mV/V signal. Reaction sensors can be used in rotating applications if sensor can be mounted outside of rotating assembly, on reaction element, such as back of motor housing.
