PROVO, Utah (KUTV) — The Utah County Attorney filed a notice seeking the death penalty against the man accused of killing Santaquin police Sgt. Bill Hooser.

Hooser was killed May 5, 2024 when he and a Highway Patrol trooper tried to detain Jayne in a stolen semi-truck.

ST. GEORGE, Utah (KUTV) — Brittany Deal never suspected her often-volatile relationship with now ex-boyfriend David Remley would escalate to the point of being kidnapped.

On the morning of August 20th, authorities issued an "endangered missing advisory" after a friend of Deal's called the police for a welfare check. When police checked the home, Deal and her three young children were missing. At the time, she had a protective order against Remley, something she said he often violated.

Less than 24 hours later, they were found with Remley in Nevada.
