The Caldwell BR Rock is a great front rifle rest.
A few things make it better.
1. Caldwell makes round 'feet' to be placed under the pointed spikes. These allow flush non-penetrating placement on table top surface.
2. The bubble level. Use it.
3. The rotating elevation wheel works very well. For times when finer adjustment for elevation is desired, the rear 'tripod' leg rotation allows very fine crosshair positioning .
4. The rifle forend stop is good when consistent positioning of rifle is needed for accurate repeatable shots. Gently pushing the rifle forward to be 'back in position' gets you there.
