Breeding a Cow

Описание к видео Breeding a Cow

Jennifer steps in front of the camera to demonstrate how to artificially inseminate a dairy cow.
This is a much safer process than having the cow be mounted multiple times by a bull that weighs much more than the cow. It also eliminates the chance of STDs that can come from a bull and is much safer than having an aggressive bull on the farm. Artificial Insemination also makes it possible to have many different breeds of dairy cattle on the farm. It is not painful for the cow and is very similar to a vet doing a rectal exam to check for illness or pregnancy.

Artificial Insemination is used not only used for cattle, but horses, pigs, chickens, turkeys, cats, dogs, wild cats, rhinos, and humans. Artificial insemination ensures the best genetics are used for any specie and has also helped with endangered species population growth.
