Kamala Harris roasted after Elon Musk catches the Vice President lying

US Vice President Kamala Harris was called out by Tesla CEO Elon Musk after she was caught lying on X.

Harris posted to X on Monday, attempting to criticise former US president Donald Trump’s stance on abortion.

“Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide. President Joe Biden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women's reproductive freedom,” she wrote.

In response to the VP’s post, Musk wrote, “When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?”

The VP’s tweet was, however, hit with a rejoinder from Community Notes, which is the social media platform's way of adding context to false posts or tweets with a lack of context.

Users on X added information from CNN, BBC, The Associated Press, and The New York Times, which clarified Trump’s stance.

The former US president has said abortion limits should be decided by the states and that he would not block the abortion pill, mifepristone, for women.
