The British-American journalist and broadcaster reveals his daily essentials, as we take a look inside Louis Theroux’s backpack. ‘I’m a very prestigious international documentary maker, but what I’m trying to tell you is that I’m a normal person,’ deadpans Louis Theroux. A case in point? The ‘rather unglamorous' contents of the journalist and broadcaster’s bag, which includes dental floss, a spare plastic bag and a half-consumed pack of Sainsbury’s sea salt & vinegar flavoured peanuts.

Other must-haves include his Apple iPhone (‘Jennifer Aniston is probably the most high-wattage celebrity in my contacts’) and his Sony headphones (‘I’ve been listening to a lot of London grime and rap.’) Meanwhile, the fashion essentials he won’t leave home without ranges from a Queens Park Rangers scarf to a Santa Cruz beanie.
