Warden Dual-Wield Warrior Build (Dragon Age: Origins) - B-Tier Guides

Описание к видео Warden Dual-Wield Warrior Build (Dragon Age: Origins) - B-Tier Guides

As per the new format, the written list of recommended gear can be found below. I'll also copy the recommended gear in the comments. But before that, a few notes:
- please note that at the very end of the video I used a clip from an early cutscene in the game. I generally assume that people who come to look for builds are at least somewhat familiar with the game's story, but feel free to stop watching the little bit at the end if you haven't finished Ostagar.
- I named my DW warrior in the footage of this video Zdena, after one of my favorite characters in Obsidian's game Pentiment
- as I was playing through the first few hours of the game to get footage, I loved the DW build so much that I respecialized Alistair into a tanky DW build. So far in the early game it's working just fine if Alistair keeps Threaten sustained and has heavier armor than the Warden. Obviously it gets better once Alistair gets access to Taunt.

Recommended Gear:
==Weapons==

=Longswords=
- Best two one-handed weapons: Duncan's Sword and Maric's Blade (for stamina regen, good damage, rune slots, and easily acquired in Return to Ostagar)
- Borrowed Longsword - you get this in the origin story and it's good until after Ostagar
- Oathkeeper - a good early game option to replace Borrowed Longsword (is received from completing all 3 chantry board quests in Lothering)
- Starfang - this is a good replacement for one of the two late-game swords if you really want to equip Duncan's or Maric's on someone else (Starfang is crafted at Soldier's Peak after restoring it)

=Early-game Daggers= [before you have Dual Weapon Mastery]
- Thorn of the Dead Gods (purchased from Barlin in Lothering Tavern)
- Olaf's Prized Cheese Knife (lootable in Honnleath)
- The Edge (DLC item - best early game dagger due to damage + rune slots)

=Runes=
Use elemental runes, mainly Fire and Lightning. One rune one or both of your weapons can be a Paralyze rune to CC enemies.

==Armor==
Light or heavy armor is recommended.

= Light Chestpieces=
- Battledress of the Provocateur (from Leliana's Song achievement. Best light chestpiece)
- The Felon's Coat (only available at Herren in Denerim after 3 main quests)
- Shadow of the Empire (decent light chestpiece in case of budget constraints and not having achievements unlocked)

=Heavy Armor=
If you go for heavy armor, wear Wade's Superior Heavy Dragonscale set, ideally with the chestpiece Evon the Great's Mail (from Herren after 3 main quests). If you don't have Evon's, Wade's set is still good but not amazing.

=Helmets=
- Longrunner's cap (stamina regen. Can get in the Carta Hideout from killing Jarvia or from Jammer's Stash quest)
- Executioner's helm (extra stamina)
- Helm of Honnleath (+2 all attributes, +3 armor. Found in Honnleath)

=Gloves= [if not using Wade's set]
- Qunari Siege Gauntlets (armor penetration. Loot from High Dragon during Urn of Sacred Ashes)
- Wade's Superior Drakeskin Gloves (from the light set made out of drake scales by Wade)
- Dalish Gloves (cheap option for +1 dex. Purchased from Varathorn in Dalish Camp, or random loot in Brecilian Forest)

=Boots= [if not using Wade's set]
- Bard's Dancing Shoes (for Defense. Purchased from Bodahn in the party camp)
- The Lion's Paw (great DLC item - armor, chance to dodge, chance to avoid missiles)
- Boots of Dilligence (+6 defense, +2 armor. Purchased from Owen in Redcliffe if you saved Valena)

==Accessories==

=Belts=
- Andruil's Blessing would be nice here, but it's extremely expensive.
- Dalish Hunter's Belt (stamina regen. Purchased from Bodahn in the party camp)
- Cinch of Skillful Maneuvering (DLC achievement item)
- Sword belt (armor penetration. Purchased from Gorim in Denerim)

=Amulets=
- Mark of Vigilance (DLC item - good for defense)
- Magister's Shield (better defensive amulet than Mark of Vigilance. Found in the Deserted Building in Denerim)
- Pearl of the Annointed (+1 to all attributes. DLC item that's decent)

=Rings=
- Key to the City (+2 all attributes is great, but contested item)
- Harvest Festival Ring (strength & dexterity & attack - DLC item in Honnleath)
- Ring of the Warrior (strength & dexterity - found during the Drifter's Cache quest in the Deep Roads)
- The Lucky Stone (+1 to all attributes is decent. DLC item)
- Dawn Ring (strength - but you only get it from Shianni during the final battle in Denerim, so I don't recommend it since it's not available during most of the game)
