American ragtime composer James Scott’s “Great Scott Rag” is a piece that was written and published in 1909. The work contains four sections—two in G Major, and two in C Major. There are a total of three strains in the piece, as the section where the fourth strain goes is filled in with a modulated incarnation of the second strain.
