New 100% WR (

I spent 2023 getting great times in every category in the hopes that, by the time I was done improving every WR, more strats would get found and I could cycle around again. However, little has been found since about mid-2023, and most of the timesaves have been All Extras and/or 100% exclusive. I decided to run 100% last because it's the longest and hardest category. After 140 streams, 8 months, around 700 hours of on-stream gameplay containing 6200 attempts, and a few strat discoveries, I have beaten the WR by over 3 minutes.

The original goal was mid-2:23, but then the goalpost kept moving, especially because at one point I was stuck with the same time for 3 months, only to beat it by a few seconds. I finally optimized the category enough to where 2:21 became the clear goal. One run was on low 2:21 pace which had me worried that a high 2:21 wouldn't be good enough, but fortunately I got a mid-2:21 which is more than good enough. NTWM was particularly bad, but most of the rest of the run was great. There's a lot that can go wrong, such as the never-reliable Sundae jumps, or the possibility of fake ring, or a game crash, or bad combat arena RNG or choking it in general. But in the end I knew I'd get my goal eventually. Despite that, it still feels surreal.

I've been slowing working on a couple video essays for close to a year, but haven't been able to release any because this game was taking up so much of my time. But perhaps 2025 could be the beginning of a new chapter in my life, who knows. Either way, thank you to everyone who has supported me, and thank you to the entire SpongeBob speedrunning and modding community for these past 8 years.
