The Chef’s FAVORITE Pan: Making a Carbon Steel Heirloom! DIY HouseMade Kit

Описание к видео The Chef’s FAVORITE Pan: Making a Carbon Steel Heirloom! DIY HouseMade Kit

Today in the shop I am making the House Made Carbon Steel frying pan, as a Christmas gift for my wife Nicole.

I started with welding the provided swage block on the mounting plate. I then textured and shaped the handle to fit the pan, and drifted a hole in the end of the handle. I finished the handle by hot stamping my makers mark. Then I textured the inside edges of the pan using a ball peen hammer against the swage block. I drilled the holes to accept the handle rivets, using the 3D printed hole jig, also provided with the kit, to mark the correct hole placement. I finished by riveting the handle to the pan.
I am super happy with how the pan turned out, and my wife is thrilled with her Christmas gift.

Thanks again to long time friends of the channel Brian House and the House Made team for all the work you do for the maker community, and your generosity over the years to The Art of Craftsmanship.
