This is track 3 from the 1975 album "I Don't Want To Do Wrong".

Affectionately known as, “The Boss”, Bill Moss was born May 22, 1931 in Selma, Alabama.

He came from a talented musical family, including his older sister, Mattie Moss Clark, and her daughters, the Clark Sisters. He also started the music careers of his sons, gospel singer-songwriters J. Moss and Bill Moss Jr.

In 1960 he organized Bill Moss and the Celestials in 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts. After three years of struggling and hard work he moved to Detroit where he met and married Essie (Coleman) Moss.

"Bill Moss was highly recognized as a legend in gospel music because of his uniqueness in style of writing," his daughter said. "He was the first to come out playing on an electric piano and had an electric drum."

He was a 2004 inductee into the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame. The Celestials were nominated for a Grammy for "Turn It Over to Jesus." Other hits include "Everything Is Going To Be Alright" and "The Way We Used to Have Church."

He and his family were members of The Greater Love Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Detroit, Michigan where Bishop William M. Rimson was pastor.

Bill Moss died on June 25, 2007 of emphysema. His funeral was held on June 30, 2007 at Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ in Detroit. Bishop P.A. Brooks of New St. Paul Tabernacle Church of God in Christ delivered the eulogy.
