Gogshelidze & Gazyumov Win Freestyle Wrestling Bronze - London 2012 Olympics

The bronze medals are decided in the men's 96kg freestyle wrestling event at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Georgia's George Gogshelidze defeats Uzbekistan's Kurban Kurbanov to claim one of the medals with an injury to his opponent allowing Azerbaijan's Khetag Gazyumov to win the 2nd bronze medal.



The 1900 Games were the only ones where wrestling was not present in any shape or form. As from the 1908 Olympic Games in London, Greco-Roman wrestling has always been included on the programme. Since the 1920 Antwerp Games, there have been both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling competitions.
