SACRED COWS - GOD IS IN CONTROL is a message that challenges deeply held assumptions and religious traditions that often go unquestioned. Sacred cows represent beliefs, systems, or practices that people protect, defend, and refuse to examine, even when they contradict the truth of God’s Word. These traditions can quietly replace faith with familiarity and obedience with comfort.

God has always called His people to trust Him fully, not traditions, positions, or human control. When we say God is in control, it is not a passive statement. It is a declaration of faith. It means we acknowledge His sovereignty even when circumstances feel uncertain, uncomfortable, or challenging. God does not lose authority because systems shake or traditions are exposed.

Sacred cows often give a false sense of security. People rely on routines, titles, or religious culture instead of a living relationship with God. Yet throughout Scripture, God repeatedly confronted traditions that limited His power and misrepresented His heart. Jesus challenged religious leaders not because they lacked knowledge, but because they elevated tradition above truth.

Recognizing that God is in control frees us from fear and resistance. It allows us to let go of what cannot sustain us and hold firmly to what is eternal. God’s control is not oppressive. It is loving, purposeful, and righteous. He leads with wisdom and governs with truth.

This message invites believers to examine their hearts honestly. Are we trusting God, or are we trusting what feels safe and familiar. When sacred cows are removed, faith grows stronger, vision becomes clearer, and obedience becomes joyful. God remains in control, not of our traditions, but of our lives when we surrender fully to His authority.
