The world famous Apollo theater in Harlem NYC, is one of the most important institutions for the black community in America. Ever since the then called "Hertique and Seamen's Burleque House" has been used as a theater, it had been one of the only theaters in America, to serve as a home for black artists. Today the theater is a worldwide renown venue and stands for an open Society.
