Ep. 13: Teaching Toddlers to Answer Yes / No Questions | Teacher Kaye Talks

Hey hey, it's Teacher Kaye!

If you want to know if your child is ready to learn how to answer Yes/No questions, this episode is perfect for you. I talk about the per-requisites of the skill, and gave an example of how you can analyze the components in every question that you formulate.

Most children naturally pick this up through time, but if you find that your child is having difficulty learning the simplest form of this at 3 years old, let's discuss. Other difficulties manifest in "parroting" the question, e.g. you ask "Do you want this?" and instead of responding, the child imitates the phrase or part of it, like "want this?"

My favorite part of this is finding clever ways of correcting their trials and errors. Hope you can find something enjoyable in the process as well!
