PackTenna Mini End-fed Half Wave & RaDAR Challenge

Описание к видео PackTenna Mini End-fed Half Wave & RaDAR Challenge

Hello Operators
On July 14 2018, I participated in the RaDAR Challenge. The RaDAR Challenge promotes rapid deployment, self-sufficient, roving ham radio stations, with an emphasis on the exchange of accurate information between those stations. This time I participated as a man portable roving station with a twist. I discovered a more efficient way to carry the entire solar powered Field Station further on foot, than I would have with an overloaded backpack leading to possible injury.
Portable ham radio RaDAR Operators are required to change location after every five contacts, so station mobility and portability are critical points to Operator success. Operators also carry their own food, water, communications equipment, and anything else required to get them safe, comfortable and on the air, unsupported from the field.
In this video we'll go through my RaDAR Challenge results, configuration, and discuss how the Challenge can be used as a training basis for emergency communications, communications for preparedness, or off grid field communications.
