Jigging 2021 Post Spawn Walleyes with Livescope in Green Bay (Part 1 of 3)

Описание к видео Jigging 2021 Post Spawn Walleyes with Livescope in Green Bay (Part 1 of 3)

We battled the cold and wind on Green Bay this week, but the fish were starting to bite after the spawn. We were able to have success jigging for walleyes with the classic Jig and Minnow combo. The walleyes wanted warmer water temps, and this was the key to finding fish, but they were spread out. We found a range of 40-49 degree temps and the fish seemed to be in anything over 46. The schools were spread out so we would drive around using Humminbird Mega Plus side imaging to find schools, and then stay on them using Garmin Livescope. This combination is a game changer when fish are spread out like they were. We would go up to 35 minutes in searching for our next school, and the fish were always on the move, so using just side imaging wasn't going to work for us. We tried hair jigs and ripping raps, but they wanted a live minnow, with a fitness pop/ twitch jig presentation. Most the fish on this day ate it off the bottom. Parts 2 and 3 are going to be crazy as the wind calmed down on day 2 and the fish went off.
