For being the cheapest LED/Speaker light bulb on Amazon, I think it does an alright job.
I didn't like the way it sounded when installed in a recessed lighting fixture. The sound kind of echoes and vibrates trough the whole fixture making it sound tin-ey and slightly distorted. It sounded much better on the desktop. This is probably due in a large part to the fact that can/recessed lights are just a screwed together tube of sheet metal. They intentionally clipped out some of the low frequencies and bass notes most likely intentionally to keep it from rattling the fixture. I would probably install this thing in a solid lamp with a lamp shade for best results.

The light on my unit did pulse on deep base notes. I don't think this was intentional and maybe due to a loose connection or power draw. It is not really a bad thing, because it goes with the beat. I could see if you were trying to read while listening to dubstep or hip hop, you might be slightly distracted by the light flickering though.

The app is very simple and straight-forward and connecting via Bluetooth is very quick.

If you are looking for something to play your music to in multiple rooms and don't want to spend a whole lot, these will probably work just fine for you. If, however, you have a bit more money to spend and want all of the nuances of your music to be heard, don't buy a light that will go in a rattley recessed lighting fixture. Instead get separate color changing LED lightbulbs and higher quality bluetooth speakers
