If you work for a big company, it might be difficult to express yourself through your work. Maybe you want the freedom to be a bit more creative with how you do things, but your day to day work doesn’t allow for much creativity.

If you are looking for a creative outlet at work, consider writing a newsletter.

Choose a topic you are passionate about – bonus points if it is something related to your work – and create a list of people who might be interested in it. The nice thing about having a newsletter is you are in charge of it.

You’re the CEO of it. The product ships when you choose to ship it and you have complete editorial say over it. You are working within the confines of your company, but your newsletter gives you the creative freedom you are looking for.
