The Spreckels Organ is the world's 2nd largest outdoor pipe organ. Located at Balboa Park in San Diego, it was a gift deeded to the City of San Diego by brothers Adolph and John D. Spreckels on January 1, 1915. Today it contains 4,518 pipes, comprising 73 ranks. Every Sunday afternoon citizens are treated to a free organ concert in the park. We were present at the concert on May 5, 2013. The National Anthem was played by organist Carol Williams at the end of the concert
