Royalmount Shopping Centre: walkthrough of Montreal's newest mall - near de la Savane metro station

Here's a walkthrough of the Royalmount Shopping Centre in the Town of Mount Royal sector of Montreal, Canada, just beside the de la Savane metro station during opening day.

The Royalmount Shopping opened today - Thursday, September 5, 2024 - after years of construction and development.

The mall is connected to just outside the de la Savane metro station by a covered pedestrian walkway.

Ironically, de la Savane metro station up until now has been one of the least used metro stations in the Montreal Metro System. With this mall built,it will probably be a lot more busier.

As for the mall itself, the design is nice and the outside has some nice features and art.

This is the first phase of the opening with additional businesses and restaurants to open up over time.

Personally, I think a mall is not a priority right now for society and a large park or affordable housing should have been built instead.
