Ijen Acid Lake and Sulfur flows

Описание к видео Ijen Acid Lake and Sulfur flows

Ijen volcano, in eastern Java, is one of the most unique places in the world. The crater has a huge acid lake with a pH of 0.5, which can dissolve carbonate rocks. It also has liquid sulfur flowing down, which solidifies into pure sulfur. That is collected by these poor workers, who carry 160 pounds of it on their backs three miles out of the steep crater.
