I have an interesting time on the opening day of the 730th Nottingham Goose Fair 2024. I wander around POV-style exploring the 19 acre fairground site. It’s regarded by some as the largest travelling funfair in the United Kingdom. I get close-up to some of the attractions; I witness the dignitaries official opening which for the first time has coincided with the actual fairground opening time – traditionally the Goose Fair has always been granted its proclamation on the first Thursday of October; and I meet an extravagant character who calls himself the Mad Hatter man. Enjoy.

The easiest way to get to the Goose Fair using public transport is via the NET tram service – get off at The Forest tram stop. Details at https://www.thetram.net.
