900HP Hellcat Engine Swap + 1966 GTX - Supercharged 6.2L Plymouth Build - Ep.2

The 1966 Plymouth GTX is getting its new supercharged Mopar power plant this week! But before we can go throwing in the 6.2L Hellcat engine, we have some prep work to do.

We have to add some frame connectors to this unibody car to stiffen up this frame. That way the whole GTX doesn't flex under the power of our 900 horsepower Hemi! It's also going to let our new IFS suspension we installed last week work a whole lot better when ripping around the streets!

We're also doing a whole lot of smoothing on the firewall and engine bay. These stock engine bays look like Swiss cheese when they roll out of the factory, so we're doing a ton of sheet metal work to get it looking nice and smooth before dropping the engine in there.

And once that's all said and done, we're ready to drop in the 6.2L Hellcat into this GTX engine bay. This isn't just your regular old hellcat though. This one has a 3.0L supercharger on it and is built sturdy to handle up to 1400 horsepower! We're going to keep it conservative though, and only crank it up to 900 so we can drive this baby on pump gas!
