India: Nitish Kumar Forms Alliance With the BJP, Takes Oath as Bihar CM for 9th Time

Nitish Kumar has taken oath as the Chief Minister of India's Bihar state for the ninth time, after breaking an alliance with Congress party and regional partner RJD ahead of the general election. Nitish Kumar has now formed an alliance with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). This marks the second time Nitish Kumar has switched sides to form government in India’s eastern state since the 2020 state election.
