Last year I discovered that Colonial Heights was going to installed a brand new siren at the Tussing Elementary School, and it was nicknamed "The North End Siren Project." I didn't know when it was going to be installed, but I knew that they were going to install. April of this year rolls around, I look at Colonial Heights FD instagram (I don't use an account lol), and I find out that the siren was installed, and was to be tested for the first time, on the first Saturday of that month. Unfortunately I wasn't able to record the siren on that day due to lots of things happening.

However, today I was able to head to Colonial Heights, and record this siren for the very first time, and I was very surprised it went off.

This was probably one of the most WINDIEST SIREN TESTS i've ever had. I didn't think it would be that windy when I was recording. Unfortunately I could hear the wind on both camera mics, so for the audio, I used my second shot camera (Sony A5100) for the audio. The echo is absolutely amazing.
Honestly I should get a wind screen for my DR40x so I can get better audio recordings, and have less risk of the audio being distorted by the wind. Right now i'm not into writing a long paragraph for this description, so yeah.
