Carpool Karaoke Beim Schlafengehen by Richard Strauss from Vier Letzte Lieder

As a new faculty member at the incredible University of the Pacific (YAY) I will be using my commute time to practice music for upcoming concerts.

Our brains like diverse practice, audiation, automation, and experimentation when it comes to singing. This is one way I can imprint my songs and test my memorization.

It is NOT (not!) meant to be perfect nor performance-ready. Just a tool for me to learn and to share vulnerability in this art form which is so often sugar coated, manipulated, and made to feel like we must sing with 'perfection or bust'.

Here is "Beim Schlafengehen" a capella from Strauss' Vier Letzte Lieder. I actually vocalize some of the interludes, which helps the brain stay connected.
