Oak plank to travel Ukulele - Timelapse woodworking.

A big thanks to Lewis and Law (http://www.lawandlewis.co.uk/) for letting my rummage through their offcuts bin on a weekend.

Wood is trimmed and rough cut to shape on band saw, spindle sanded. The original plans are kindly from Christopher Allan (cjksallan.com) with information from circuitsandstrings.

Recess is routed to form a shallow sound box. The fret slots are cut with a simple mitre jig and the frets are lightly hammered home.

The finish is 7 coats of Crimson guitar oil (@CrimsonGuitars) - glad I don't do this for a living. A final coat of beeswax-blend is added before the fittings.

Wired a piezo through the bridge to an endpin jack.

Now I just need to make time to learn how to play...
