SLEEP - Live In San Francisco, CA 2010 [Complete Set]

A year and a half after SLEEP reunited at All Tomorrow’s Party in the UK in 2009, people in the bay area finally had their chance to see the band back on stage. This was the first of two San Francisco shows, and the last shows of this two week run around the US. A tour they did by flying to each city in the morning, getting up early in the morning after being out late the night before playing a show. The band was very aware of the irony of being named SLEEP, and being on a tour where they were getting no sleep at all. I remeber Al curled up sick on a tiny couch in a tiny room backstage, and Matt sleeping on the floor in a very narrow hallway, desperate for what rest they could get, before getting out onstage in front of fans and friends for a nearly two hour show. Here is the whole show from this first night, a set I think is amazing even with a few bumps along the way. Sleep had returned to the Bay, and I can’t imagine anyone left disappointed.
