At the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru has launched the almost production ready Levorg concept to the public.

It is describes as a 'sports tourer', as it is a station wagon with stylish design. This concept car wears Metallic Blue Grey Steel or a Pearl Crystal White paint which is first for a Subaru production vehicle. The Levorg concept measures 4690mm long, 1780mm wide and 1485mm tall, with a 2650mm wheelbase and a gross weight of 1,504 kg. Subaru denied speculations that the Levorg replaces the Legacy, as this car is actually segmented below the Legacy and also a standalone model.

Inside, there are wide variety of goodies available in this concept car such as,
various piano black finishes in the cabin
metallic accents
dual 3.5-inch full-color LEDs

When it comes to safety, Subaru offers a wide range of safety technologies such as pre-collision braking control, lane keeping assist, pre-collision reverse throttle management and active lane keep system.

The Levorg concept has a 1.6-liter DIT turbo engine with direct injection making 170 hp or 125 kW and 250 Nm of torque. A 2.0-liter DIT turbo engine also with direct injection is available in either GT or GT-S form. It has 300 hp or 221 kW and 400 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a symmetrical AWD system via a Lineartronic (for 1.6) or Sport Lineartronic (for 2.0) transmission.

It comes with a strut front suspension and a rear double wishbone arrangement. The 1.6-liter variant has 17-inch alloys with 215/50 R17 tyres while the 2.0-liter wears a larger 18-inch alloys together with 225/45 R18 tyres.

The Levorg can be ordered from January 4 2014 in Japan and will go on sale next spring.
