Did you know you can combine anomaly detection with regular alerts? Prism Pro’s machine learning engine monitors system performance and flags anomalous behavior. You can see how the anomaly detection works via the CPU usage chart of any VM, where the blue envelope depicts how much the metric can deviate before it is flagged as an anomaly. But how do you use this technology without complicating your alerting settings? In Prism Pro, you can, within a few seconds, combine your preferences on anomaly detection with alerting. It is extremely simple to set an alert based on static thresholds or anomalies, where applicable. It is also simple to set a “quiet” window in case you don’t want anomaly detection to raise too many alerts.
