Junior Astronaut is the artist moniker for Chicago-based producer, engineer, and acoustician Nathan Tipton, whose mission is exploring sound from all aspects. Tipton’s technical training in bioacoustics, digital signal processing, and loudspeaker modelling combined with their extensive musical background lays the foundation for a playful but informed world of sound. They’ve collaborated with Moment alums Giant Claw, Holly Waxwing, Ari Liloia, and of course their sibling Galen Tipton.
