　2013年10月10日上午，中國佛教協會常務理事、杭州靈隱寺方丈光泉大和尚率衆弟子隆重舉行迎接美國中華佛教會會長妙峰長老一行代表團。隨行的有妙峰長老法子紐約慈航精舍住持明怡法師，紐約慈航精舍護法會長楊甯侃居士，潘永駿副會長，世界禅藝術研究院古一雄居士等人。妙峰長老和光泉方丈在禅堂親切交流，代表團在心如法師的講解帶領下觀摩了靈隱寺古刹，隨後參觀了杭州佛學院。妙峰長老也是杭州佛學院的榮譽院長，妙峰長老是第一位遠赴美國弘揚佛教的華人。這次杭州靈隱寺金秋的"三壇大戒"特意邀請妙峰長老前來開示。 最後，中國佛教協會副會長、普陀山佛教協會會長、普濟禅寺方丈道慈大和尚在他的方丈室熱情接待了美國中華佛教會會長妙峰長老一行代表團。同時加強了中國與海外佛教事業的發展與繁榮。
