Field Weakening: Speed Overclock

Описание к видео Field Weakening: Speed Overclock

Field weakening is a valuable and versatile feature given for free to all the SOLO users. It can be applied to all three-phase motors, such as Brushless DC (BLDC) and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM).

By strategically reducing the magnetic field strength, the motor can rotate at higher speeds than the nominal speed of a motor, but with a trade-off of reduced maximum torque. It's important to note that using high-field weakening values can potentially lead to stability issues.

However, the advantage lies in its suitability for specific applications where higher speed control takes precedence over the torque generated.

To utilize this feature, you can easily adjust a variable. Setting it to zero will disable Field weakening, and gradually increasing the variable will apply the effect to the motor, allowing you to finely tune the motor's speed for your specific needs.
