Now let’s go over some common types of the double doodle, and what kind of channel would we be if we didn’t start from the classic version of the dog; the Goldendoodle-Labradoodle mix. This mix, which also is often called the golden Labradoodle which has a great ring to it, doubles down on the family friendly and mild-mannered.

🐶 Double Labradoodle
The spike in popularity of the golden Labradoodle definitely led breeders to experiment with mixing Labradoodles with other doodle breeds, and it is quickly becoming a very popular type of dog. Some of these include mixing Labradoodles with Bernedoodles, Aussiedoodles, or even Maltipoos.

🐶 Aussiedoodle Mixes
The biggest downside to the Australian Shepherd has got to be how much the darn thing sheds, but by mixing that fantastic breed with poodles not once but twice, that problem is all but eliminated. A very popular mix right now is the Goldendoodle-Aussiedoodle mix, with the merle-colored coat!

🐶 Golden Mountaindoodle
The Golden Mountaindoodle is a double doodle create by mixing a Bernedoodle and Goldendoodle. This is one of the most popular double doodle mixes because of the tricolored coat consisting of black, brown and white.

🔺 Mini Double Doodle
A mini double doodle is any double doodle that weighs in at less than 30 pounds, but usually still stand at around 16 to 18 inches, which you can thank the poodles long legs for. Please not, as well, that there is not really a standard definition for a mini double doodle.

🔺 Medium Double Doodles
The medium category is generally reserved for dogs within the 20 and 45 pound category, since remember Mini isn’t an official category. These dogs are great for people with active lifestyles, who want to run or go on hikes with their doodle.

🔺 Standard Double Doodles
If your doodle is more than 45 pounds, then it falls into the standard category, the largest category for doodles. These are big and tall dogs that are going to need plenty of exercise and a big backyard to boot in order to stay happy and healthy.

🐶 Golden
Double doodles come in a variety of colors, since the poodle alone has 10 standard colors, and that’s not even including the other two dogs! Perhaps the most classic look is golden, though, as it can be found in Goldendoodles as well as Labradoodles.

🐶 Chocolate
The chocolate color is super popular right now, but is also pretty unique to the double doodle breed, making it a highly sought after look for your dog. This is mostly due to darker fur being a recessive gene.

🐶 Cream
Cream is a gorgeous color, and unlike chocolate, is very easy to breed too. Because of this, it actually isn’t as popular as you would figure, since maybe to some the chase is the most fun part. This color can range from a faded gold to something very close to white.

💰 Price
Compared to the already designer dog status goldendoodle and Labradoodle, the double doodle is even a tad more expensive, and if you are buying from a reputable breeder can cost anything from 1,500 to 2,000 dollars for a puppy. This price can vary from state to state!
