"Alight" is a performance piece that tells a universal story of the isolated artist seeking inspiration to create. The work meditates on finding comfort in ourselves and our place in the universe, particularly from an Asian American perspective. Movement artist, Ashwaty Chennat, is assembling an ensemble of collaborators who will use movement, sound, light, and scenic design inspired by South Asian traditional and cinematic arts. Fueled with an ambitious vision, their team is raising funds for the development and production of this new work.
