After preparing the materials they had gathered over the past few days, they carefully worked together to install the roof of their nomadic house. The lightweight structure of the roof allows for quick adjustments or dismantling, a necessity in their flexible, ever-changing lifestyle.
This project is a reflection of the resilient and adaptable nature of nomadic house in the rural regions of Iran. For Akram's family, much like other nomadic house in the Zagros, building a home is not just about shelter, but also about maintaining the mobility that their nomadic life requires. While their nomadic house is simple, it is deeply connected to the landscape, and their homes are designed to suit their needs as they move and adapt to the changing seasons and environments.
