Llanidloes, a small market town in Powys, Mid Wales, is our favourite place to live. It is the first town on the River Severn, and often referred to as “a small town at the heart of Wales.”

As a destination Llanidloes offers visitors and locals alike the opportunity to dip into a rich history, to explore some beautiful surrounding countryside, and to join in a vibrant social and cultural life.

As a community Llanidloes thrives, a combination of fiercely loyal locals and incomers, most of whom will fight to the bitter end for what they believe is right for their beloved town.

And as our home - which Llanidloes has been now for almost 30 years and counting - it provides the permanent backdrop for all the highs and lows of life’s many adventures.

As the Llanidloes town website says on its home page: “be warned, the place is dangerously addictive! You may never want to leave!”

The video footage was filmed between October 2018 - February 2019. As well as the town of Llanidloes itself it features the Llyn Clywedog reservoir, Hafren Forest, and the hills above the River Severn near Llandinam - all just a short distance from Llanidloes.
