☀️ ALBAN HEFIN 🌿 - Bart the Bard,

Описание к видео ☀️ ALBAN HEFIN 🌿 - Bart the Bard,

This original Druidic song about the Summer Solstice (Alban Hefin) is a communal effort of three folk artists, working from different countries and languages and bringing our voices together through our connection with nature. This Pagan Folk song was written for Alban Hefin and describes many things that are characteristic of the Summer Solstice.

You'll hear, in order of appearance;

ISEMBARD'S WHEEL - Alexander has gathered a crew of musicians from England to sing along with us. Isembard's texts are poetic and describe the world around us in an almost sensory way. The lyrics he supplied are in English and Old English

ELLYN STORM - Garnering most of her fans attention on her cover of "Savage Daughter", Ellyn has positioned herself as a wild and free spirit of folklore. She wrote and sings in Turkish about joyful activities during Summer Solstice.

BART THE BARD - With his Druidic Lifestyle it is no wonder that nature and her themes have seeped into his music. This Pagan Folk singer wrote his lyrics in Dutch and sings about the light that can be found in the darker side of the Summer Solstice.

Along with these three primary artists, you may hear;
GARETH JONES - Vocals & Mandolin
SOPHIE CRABTREE - Vocals
ADAM MORGAN - Vocals

Mixed by TOM DE MUNCK at Audioscape Studio

👄💦Lyrics
Verse 1 - ALEXANDER ISEMBARD
Come all ye good kin,
Come gather below,
The warmth of these storied skies aglow,
Give voice to our histories,
Give voice to the day,
As life greens anew 'neath the linden's shade,
Cast your eyes to the vale and call,
Your mind, to those who've gone before,
Each lingering doubt, to the winds on the shore,
As the summer comes roaring, roaring forth once more.

Chorus - ALL
Daladadeeladadaa (Separate syllabels)
AAAaaaAAAAAAaaaa (one long vowel)

Verse 2 - ELLYN STORM
Masmavi gökler altında
Gündönümünü bekledim.
Perde inceldi ve
Kavuştum eski ruhlara.
Karanlıkta topladım
Mürver ve kantaron,
Ruhumda sonsuz bekleyiş
Güneş ışıldarken,
Toprak yeşerir.

Under the bright blue skies
I waited for the solstice
The veil has thinned
And I've finally met the old spirits
I've gathered elderberry and St. John's Wort in the dark
Endless waiting in my soul
As the sun shines
The soil turns green

Chorus - ALL
Daladadeeladadaa (Separate syllabels)
AAAaaaAAAAAAaaaa (one long vowel)

Verse 3 - BART THE BARD
Ik zie de koning van
de zomer; met zijn kroon
Lengende dagen achter gelaten,
en voor ons; het duister
Seizoenen draaien rug aan rug
Wie ons verlaten komen terug
Een ronde cirkel loopt nooit dood
Zij blijven bij ons

I see the king of
The summer; with his crown
Lengthening days behind us
And before us; the darkness
Seasons spin back to back
Those who leave us return
A round circle never ends
They stay with us.

OUTRO - ALEXANDER ISEMBARD
Wacran folgendas, freond and ieldra bearn,
Hēran gehȳran stemna þæs forðgangan!
Þēah langa tīman ond gedrēfednessa a hīe þurhdrifon,
Hē worhton beaga bēod on wederum and flōdum.
Hwæn līf eft greneþ under līmtwigum,
Sumera wong wudu scẽaþaþ.

Wakeful followers, friends and children of elders,
Hear, hear the voices of the past!
Through long times and troubles, they came through,
They built a ring-giver of teachings on winds and floods.
When life greens again under the linden boughs,
summer clothes the wood in beauty.
