Goechala Trek 4K Final Part | Sikkim Trek October | Himalayas Trek | Mountain Trek | Summit and Back

Goecha La Trek is one of the most difficult treks in India and I completed this trek with my friends under the ‪@chasingcloudstreks‬ guidance in October 2022.
Goecha La is a high mountain pass in Sikkim, India in the Himalayan range at a height over 16,000 ft or 4900 mt. Goechala is also considered as the the base of Mount Pandim and Kanchenjunga, both of these mountains can be viewed from View Point 1 at Goecha La. Some of the mountains seen during the Goecha La trek include the Kanchenjunga, Rathong, Kabru North, Kabru Dome, Kabru South, Koktang, Mount Pandim, Tenchenkhang & Jupono, among others. This is a difficult trek and recommended for experienced trekkers only.
This is the Final Part of the Trek where we start from Thangsing and head towards our final campsite at Lamuney. From Lamuney we start for our summit ascend at around 3 a.m. to reach Goechala Viewpoint 1 at 5:30 a.m. In this video, I also share few glimpses from our Lamuney kitchen with our local cooks and then the journey descending downwards towards Yuksom from Lamuney via Kokchurang. Itinerary that I followed during this trek was :
DAY 1- Reached NJP from Kolkata in Train and drive to YUKSOM in Car
DAY 2- YUKSOM to BAKHIM via SACHEN
DAY 3- BAKHIM to PHEDANG via TSHOKA
DAY 4- PHEDANG to DORING via DJONGRI and Summit to DJONGRI TOP
DAY 5- DORING to THANGSING via KOKCHURANG
DAY 6- THANGSING to LAMUNEY
DAY 7- Summit to GOECHALA VIEWPOINT 1 & Back to KOKCHURANG
DAY 8- Descend from KOKCHURANG to TSHOKA
DAY 9- Descend from TSHOKA to YUKSOM.
DAY 10- Drive from YUKSOM to NJP in Car
DAY 11- Reached KOLKATA from NJP in Train
