Lauded as "The Best Picture of the Year" by The New York Times, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, Joel and Ethan Coen's latest creation Inside Llewyn Davis is making the rounds among fans and critics.

In this roundtable interview, the offbeat writer/directors discuss the movie's genesis, their familiarity with folk music and whether or not the characters are based upon real musicians from the time.

"No," stated Ethan Coen when asked about the characters, "with the exception of Murray Abraham's character. Yeah, that is kind of a reference to Albert Grossman who.. was a big sort of folk impresario."

Brian Sebastian mentioned how great John Goodman is, which prompted a short discussion about Goodman's recurring appearance in Joel and Ethan's movies.

"[John Goodman's] somebody that we do keep coming back to," Joel offered, "He's such an interesting actor, such a great actor, but also just because.. for some reason as we're writing things we often start to hear John's voice in them."
