Knitting increase 1 into 5. Cascade bulky yarn, 7mm needles. To make it into a 1 into 7 increase, repeat the steps again. For 1 into 3, stop after you have made 2 stitches.

Written instructions: (starting with stitch you want to increase on LN)
Insert RN between first and second stitch on LN
Wrap yarn as you would to knit and pull stitch through (a little extra yarn is good)
Transfer first stitch (teal) from LN to RN
Insert LN between first and second stitch on RN and wrap by bringing yarn first under and then around over the top of LN
Pull stitch through and make sure it is not too tight
Transfer first stitch (teal) on RN back to left needle
Insert RN between first and second stitch on LN
Wrap yarn as you would to knit and pull stitch through (this is where the extra slack from before is handy, it gets tricky)
Transfer first stitch (teal) from LN to RN
Insert LN between first and second stitch on RN and wrap by bringing yarn first under and then around over the top of LN
Pull stitch through (Try to get as much through as with previous stitches)
Now you have made 4 stitches.
Leave the Teal stitch on the RN without knitting and transfer the first 2 stitches (that you just created) from the left needle to right. All done.
Continue with pattern.

My two best tips are these. First, pull enough yarn through as you make each stitch so there is a little extra, it gets tighter as you work and can be tricky for the last stitch. And second, is to pinch the yarn on the needle as you transfer the stitch back and forth to hold open the space where you will insert your needle.

This increase is used a lot in Lucy Hague's awesome patterns. The pattern I am working on here is Lindisfarne, chart A, rnd 25 starting at the 1 into 5 increase. The pattern calls for sock yarn, but here I am using bulky weight.
