Malabika Sen is an internationally reputed Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dancer par excellence. She is also an amazingly gifted singer which few people know. Two of her videos "Na Jeo Na" and "Eto Boro Akash" have been hugely appreciated by listeners and viewers across the globe. This presentation will further showcase her talent.
Rema Bose, the only daughter of Acharya Jayanta Bose, has been actively into classical and semi-classical music from her adolescent years. She acts as a faculty in the Psychology Departments of Calcutta University and West Bengal State University. She is also actively into film-making.
The song Lag Jaa Gale is a beautiful composition, originally sung by lata Mangeshkar, composed by Madan Mohan and written by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan.
In the present track, an effort has been made to redesign the musical arrangement of the song with a western flavour.
This music video is dedicated to Smt. Shyamalika Chakraborty, sister of Malabika Sen. The videography depicts the pleasure of remembering the sweet childhood memories of two sisters, who have grown up together.
