Let’s make a magical Nutcracker Soldier! 🎄✨
Today on Smart Start with Miss Daisy, we’re creating a tall, classic Nutcracker using simple popsicle sticks, a little paint, felt, and paper details. This Christmas craft is perfect for kids of all ages and looks amazing as a decoration, bookmark, puppet, or classroom art project!
Kids will love painting all the bright red and gold details, building the long Nutcracker legs, and adding the fuzzy felt beard and hair. It’s such a fun way to explore creativity and fine motor skills during the holiday season!
Materials we used:
Popsicle sticks (regular + a few trimmed shorter for the hat)
Acrylic paint (red, black, gold, blue, and skin tone)
Gold paint pen (for the uniform details)
White felt (hair + beard)
Black construction paper (belt + hat accents)
Glue
Scissors
This craft is perfect for:
🎄 Classroom holiday displays
🎁 Stocking stuffers
🎨 Christmas break activities
✨ Nutcracker ballet theme days
❤️ Craft time at home with little ones
